Welcome to my website, www.brianhealy.net.

You already know my name (Brian Healy, in case you don’t!), but what else do you know about me? I was born in April 1971 and spent my growing-up years in my hometown of Bathgate, West Lothian before moving to Livingston when I got married, back in 2000.

In February 2012 I relocated to Craigmillar, Edinburgh although I hope one day to move somewhere warm all-year round – ideally before I retire! ;)

I started BrianHealy.net as a place to share my photographs, writing, rants and other stuff. In the past I’ve used services like Livejournal, but I felt it was time to bring all the various platforms that I would share stuff on across the World Wide Web into a single place – here.

I welcome constructive criticism of all aspects of this site. Feel free to comment and critique on my photos, writing, musical tastes, opinions, whatever the case may be. I don’t expect that everyone should share the same opinions that I do and I encourage insights and observations – it is afterall one of the ways we learn.

Having worked both in the past and currently within the SEO and Social Media industry as well as the IT industry, I’m a bit of a digital marketing and technology geek (although definitely no expert!), a huge fan of science fiction and heroic fantasy, occasional freelance writer and WordPress web designer, PC gamer and an ageing rocker.

Its worth pointing out that I talk about a lot of companies, brands etc in my posts.. though it’s hopefully self-evident to readers, it should be noted that the views and opinions expressed on this blog in no way reflect the views or opinions of my employer or any organisations/individuals I am affiliated with, and that I have not received any payment or incentive to discuss any of the brands or companies mentioned in my posts.
